Dr Sue Gibbons BVSc FANZCVS
Sue graduated from Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland in 1997 and her first job was in a small animal practice on the outskirts of Brisbane. She completed her residency (training program) in Small Animal Surgery at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Queensland, and Membership in Small Animal Surgery in 2002. Sue worked at Veterinary Specialist Services in Brisbane, and Willows Referral Service in England, before passing her specialty exams for Fellowship in Small Animal Surgery in 2006. Over the years she has lectured, tutored, mentored and examined both under-graduate and post-graduate veterinarians.
Sue started her mobile surgery business in 2007, servicing Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Her areas of interest include orthopaedics and arthroscopy.
Outside of work, Sue is married with two kids and two “oodle” rescue dogs. She tries to stay fit and healthy to keep up with the demands of life!
Krystal Wilson
Krystal started with Specialist Surgical Solutions in 2018. She is our veterinary and administrative assistant looking after scheduling consultations and surgeries, liaising with vet clinics, preparing surgical equipment and assisting during surgery.
Krystal completed a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Queensland in 2011. She is an animal lover who only ever wanted a career based around animal care. Prior to joining Specialist Surgical Solutions she worked in a large vet clinic for 7 years.
Krystal has her own incredible little zoo at home as well, with identical twin boys, a husband and a staffy!
